ExistBI has been contracted to help an Energy client build a EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) from SAP for reporting and business analysis. What’s in the EDW? Currently, EDW contains basic information about Customer, Accounts, Contracts, Premises, Installation, Meter/Meter related equipment and utility bill information (contains 60% customer data). This data is sourced from SAP BI and SAP BI receives data from SAP ECC.
SAP ECC—> SAP BI—> EDW.
We are looking to eliminate SAP BI, extract the rest of the Customer data (40%) and also previously extracted 60% Customer data directly from SAP ECC. A limited amount of data is also being extracted directly from SAP ECC.
What’s not in EDW? Financial information, General Ledger, Payments, Deposits, Customer Service, Customer Contacts, Service Orders, Credit/Collection data, Bankruptcies, Collection Activities, Device management, Meter Exchanges, Meter Reads and Meter Measuring.
